The United States has experienced massive immigration since the 19th century. Most of the immigrants coming into the United States seek to find job opportunities, which may be helpful in adding value to the country. The country has benefited considerably from immigrants, especially in the provision of labor. Some issues, such as reduction of wages, can be addressed through legislative interventions. The social and economic benefits by the immigrants cannot be disregarded. Although the presence of immigrants may have some advantages, the presence of undocumented persons may pose significant issues to the country. The undocumented immigrants can be a cause of insecurity in the country. Therefore, the government should employ mechanisms aimed at registering all immigrants to ensure that they can be accounted for. Nevertheless, the government should enact measures to avoid additional illegal immigrants.
